Q: How does DIY Craft Shack work?

A:  Great question!  We offer 4 different experiences

  • Open Studio Time - We are open select hours for the public to come in, pick a project, use all our supplies and tools to complete the project, get tips from the staff and go home with something amazing!

  • Workshops - Watch our website and social media pages for upcoming workshops.  These are one time offering workshops and these projects aren't available during Open Project Time.  We supply all the tools and supplies to complete the project.

  • Kids Birthday Parties - we currently offer our Splatter Room birthday parties and our Name Sign Parties.  We take care of the mess and the birthday child leaves with great birthday memories!

  • Private Events/Fundraisers- Our private events are perfect for starting new family traditions, getting together with girlfriends for a night of crafting and giggles, or bringing the team together for some team building fun and finally our fundraisers.  If you have a favorite charity or there is a community need, connect with us.  We'd love to help raise funds for something that is near and dear to you.

Q: Where are your locations?

A:  We have 2 locations. One permanent location and one pop-up location.

     Our permanent location is at 108. Main Street S. - Lonsdale, MN

     Our pop-up Location:  The Bonus Room in Lakeville

Q: How old do you need to be to participate?

A:  We welcome all ages.  During open studio time we have projects for children 3 and up.  Please make sure to dress your child in clothes that they can get paint on. 

All of our workshops will have a suggested participation age.

Q:  Do you need to pre-register for Workshops?

A:  Yes, we need to know how many projects and supplies to provide.  Registration typically ends 4 days before the workshop event.  So make your reservations early, as many workshops sell out fast!

Q: Do I need to make reservations for Open Studio Time?

A: No, reservations are not required.  However, if you are coming with more than 4 people you can and reserve a table.

Q: How do refunds work?

A:  DIY Craft Shack does not offer refunds.  If you are unable to make the event that you signed up for you have two options.

   1.  Pick up your DIY Craft Kit at our main location: 108 Main Street S. - Lonsdale, MN

   2. Stop the day of the event and grab your DIY Kit.

Please note that no paint or supplies will be provided if you pick the kit up to finish on your own

Q:  How many people does the studio accommodate?

A: We can easily fit 20 children, 15 adults.  If your group is larger, we have two options.

     1.  We can use an adjacent room to our studio, but the group will be separated.

     2.  Let us come to you!

Q: Do you do custom work?

A: Yes, we love doing personalized custom work.  Give us a call or contact us through our website to get the conversation started! 

Q: Do you offer wholesale?

A: Yes, we offer wholesale pricing to business that are registered and have a sales tax ID.

Q:  Do you offer bulk discounts?

A:  At our discretion we may offer bulk discounts.  Please reach out for details.
